Children's Ministry
FaithWorks Nursery (weekly/monthly on Sundays, background check required)
Spend an hour playing with babies/toddlers, providing a safe and loving environment.

FaithWorks Preschool (weekly/monthly on Sundays, background check required)
Bring your love & energy to share Jesus' love with our preschoolers through a Bible story and craft/activity. All materials are provided.

FaithWorks Small Group Leader (weekly/monthly on Sundays, background check required)
Get to know a small group of elementary age students, by asking questions about/processing the lesson of the morning. Take an interest in their lives and activities by listening to them. Play games/converse before service starts. All activities/lesson questions provided.

FaithWorks! Greeting Team (weekly/monthly on Sundays, background check required)
Give an energetic hello and high five as students arrive and head to class each Sunday. Escort students to class as they arrive.

FaithWorks Check-In (weekly/monthly on Sundays, background check required)
Be the first face that welcomes children/families as they arrive. Check children in via their phone number into the computer system and distribute name labels to the family.
Ongoing Missions
Food Pantry (rotations on Mondays and Thursdays)
Many roles including taking orders, filling orders, data entry, restocking shelves.

Unity Garden (seasonal, flexible schedule)
Help working in the Unity Garden with planting, weeding.

Mobile Food Pantry (Wednesdays and Saturdays)
Load the food, set up and distribute the food, unload.
Senior Suds (Every other Tuesday)
Deliver a meal and visit with seniors receiving free laundry services.

Youth Ministry
Firehouse Sunday Morning (weekly/monthly on Sundays, background check required)
Lead a small group of youth on Sunday morning, participating in worship together and then engaging the youth in conversation and Bible study. Questions and small group guide are provided!
Firehouse Wednesday Night (weekly/monthly on Wednesdays, background check required)
Wednesday nights include hangout time, dinner, and a devotion. Volunteers hang out with the youth and provide security.
Firehouse Greeting and Cafe Team (weekly/monthly on Sundays, background check required)
Give an energetic hello as students arrive and serve hot chocolate and snacks at the cafe.
Firehouse Retreat/Event Leader (occasional, background check required)
Be an adult presence for youth events, such as the Ignite Retreat or Fall October fun day.
Building & Grounds
Mowing Team (seasonal, weekly, weather-dependent)
Keep our lawns looking crisp and neat for all to enjoy as they enter our property. Training for use of our zero turn mowers is a prerequisite.
Gardening Team (flexible schedule)
Be part of our gardens team who maintains the beautiful gardens around both North and Firehouse facilities.
Edging / Trimming Team (flexible schedule)
When the edges are crisp, everything looks better. We have all the equipment you need.
Fix-It Folks (flexible schedule)
If you are gifted at fixing things, we have a place for you. Projects of all kinds from toys broken in our preschool to chairs broken in our youth ministry. If you like fixing things at home, we would love for you to help here at our church home.
Organizers (flexible schedule)
Looking for someone who loves to transform spaces from chaos to clutter-free. This will help our teams find things quicker and use existing resources when possible.
Painting / Touch-Up Team (flexible schedule)
There always seems to be a need to paint things. From small patch jobs up to whole rooms.
Vehicle Repairs (flexible schedule)
Help us maintain our fleet. Things like replacing lights on our trailers, replacing rotors / pads on our truck, or changing the oil all come to mind. Currently we have four vehicles and three trailers to maintain (plus a couple of zero turn lawn mowers).
Hospitality
Coffee Hour (weekly or monthly on Sundays)
Help with set up, making coffee, keeping supplies stocked and clean up.

Parking Lot / Front Door (weekly or monthly on Sundays)
Help people from their cars, assist people in wheelchairs, open doors for people before service.
Greeter (weekly or monthly on Sundays)
Help greet people in the lobby as they arrive.
Ushers (weekly or monthly on Sundays)
Help pass out Life Guides and Connect Cards before service, help pass offering plates during the service.
Worship
Holy Communion Setup (monthly on Sunday, stairs involved)
This serving opportunity includes preparing the bread and juice for Holy Communion, set up before worship on the 1st Sunday the month before the 9:00am service and replenishment of the elements before the 11:00am service.

Holy Communion Ministers (monthly, background check required)
This serving opportunity involves being in relationship with and bringing Holy Communion monthly to those at Clay who are unable to attend worship.
Communion Servers (monthly on first Sundays)
This serving opportunity includes serving the bread and cup during Holy Communion on the 1st Sunday of the month at either the 9:00am and 11:00am service. Sign up to serve once a month or once a quarter.

Choir (weekly on Sundays and Wednesdays)
Sing in the choir loft.
Tech Team (weekly or monthly on Sundays)
Run sound and lights, advance lyric slides, and help us produce a polished livestream service for our online audience.
Special Music (flexible, audition required)

Caring
Funeral Meals (on-call)
There are several jobs to sign up for that help a funeral meal run seamlessly. Prepare a salad, side dish or dessert to compliment the meal, help set tables, serve food, make coffee, and clean up once the meal is done.
Hospital Visitation (on-call, background check required)
A rotating list of people who visit our congregation members when they are in the hospital.
Shut-In Visitation (flexible)
A group of people who visit our congregation members who are unable to get to worship on Sundays.
Meal Team (on-call)
Bring meals to those who have just had surgery, illness, added a child to their family, etc...
Office
Office Volunteer (four hours weekly, during office hours)
Be the welcoming smile & voice of your church! 3-4 hour shifts in the Staff Offices, answering phones, greeting visitors, and completing occasional simple tasks to enhance the various ministries of our church.
