Our 2023 Musical Mission Tour is excited to present two hometown shows of their upcoming production of Nickelodeon's The SPONGEBOB MUSICAL: youth edition. This mission experience for teenagers presents a family-friendly show for the community and takes the show on tour. Musical Mission Tour is an opportunity for youth to get involved in theater, and the perfect opportunity to invite your friends and neighbors into connection with Clay Church. Doors for show dates open thirty minutes before each showtime and tickets are required, but they are free!
Musical Mission Tour Information: Touring June 18-25, 2023
Auditions
Auditions, for 8th graders through high school seniors, are Wednesday, April 12, and Thursday, April 13, from 6-9 pm at the Clay Firehouse Campus. Auditions will consist of singing, dancing, and a cold read from the script. Students should bring a prepared piece no more than 32 bars. An accompanist will be provided. Students need only attend one audition evening.
Mandatory Meeting:
All cast members and a parent/guardian must attend the mandatory meeting Saturday, April 15, at 9:30 am. At the meeting a $150.00 non-refundable deposit is due. If the student is choosing to see the optional Saturday Broadway show, “Sweeney Todd”, an additional $85.00 is due at the parent meeting.
Trip Cost:
This year’s trip costs $475.00. This price includes all meals while on the road with the exception of lunch on our TWO travel days and your lunch and dinner in NYC. It also includes a cast T-shirt, show water bottle, a hotel stay Friday evening, and a ticket to see a Broadway musical in New York City. If the student chooses to see the optional Broadway show, instead of sightseeing on Saturday, an additional $85.00 is due at the mandatory meeting.
