During the past three months, we've really enjoyed meeting with you virtually, but now we've got some exciting news to share! Beginning June 21, we are reopening for live and in-person worship during out 9:15 and 10:45 services.
In accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines; we will be practicing social distancing and taking every effort to keep everyone in our congregation and community as safe as possible. Watch this short video to learn more about what you can expect when you return, and read on to discover how you can help us mitigate the continued spread of COVID-19, even as we gather together again.
WE'RE REOPENING FOR WORSHIP!
We'll practice physical distancing in all of our common spaces, including the Sanctuary. All of our pews are marked with X's, and to ensure the best possible outcomes, we're asking parties to leave three marked X's between themselves and the next group.
During services, we'll seat every other pew and will use different pews in the first and second services.
All pewbacks and hard surfaces will be wiped down before and after services.
All doors will be propped open to prevent the spread of germs on commonly touched surfaces.
We've nixed handshakes and hugs for the time being, and will not join hands during the Covenant and Benediction.
We're asking the congregation to wear masks. Staff and leaders will be required to wear masks.
To protect our Early Childhood Program, our congregation, and our community; the cafe will be closed until further notice.
To provide adequate time for staff to clean and prepare our spaces for the next event, we'll exit the building immediately following services.
WHAT IS CLAY CHURCH DOING TO HELP KEEP PEOPLE SAFE?
We'd love to say that we can't wait to see you again, but the truth is; if you're in a vulnerable population or if you just don't feel ready to come out yet, we absolutely can wait to see you again. We'll continue to livestream services at claychurch.com/live and on our Facebook page. We'll continue to be in touch and to offer fellowship and discipleship opportunities over Zoom.
Please don't feel the need to rush back if you're not yet ready.
WHAT IF I'M NOT READY TO COME BACK?
Our Firehouse Youth Ministry will begin worshipping again at 9:00am on June 21, with modifications to accommodate CDC distancing guidelines.
Because of the challenges associated with physically distancing children, toddlers, and infants; FaithWorks! children's ministry will not resume on Sunday mornings until a later date. Children fifth grade and younger will worship with their parents in the Sanctuary and we are actively making plans to include our FaithWorks! teams in the planning and delivery of those services so that we can help engage children.
WHAT ABOUT CHILDREN'S AND YOUTH MINISTRY?
Please use the form below to reach out with any questions you might have about our reopening policies and procedures. We'll get back to you as quickly as we possibly can. We're excited to worship in-person again with you very soon.
