MARCH 17, 2020

In light of the continued development of the situation in our world, nation, and community; and in accordance with directives from Federal, state, and local leaders; as well as our Bishop, we are announcing the following changes to our gathering schedule going forward:

Effective right now, we are suspending all in-person gatherings, of any size, until further notice.

This will change the way we do many things, but it will not change the things we do. We will continue to worship together on Sunday mornings at 9:15 and 10:45; but instead of gathering in the sanctuary, we'll gather online at, or on the Clay Church Facebook page.

To continue to serve the spiritual needs of your family and our community, we will begin streaming live spiritual content, including corporate prayer times, devotions, and music as soon as possible. Watch for announcements about these special virtual events on our social media channels, at, or on your Clay Church App. These live events will be archived so you can catch them later if you miss one.

During this unprecedented time our pledge to you is that we will continue to be in ministry with you, even if we can't always be right there with you. But the health of our congregation and community is too important to ignore and so, at this time, other in-person gatherings - including Clay Circles, rehearsals, workout groups, and partner events - are suspended at this time, with one notable exception:

The Clay Church Food Pantry will remain open to serve a growing, vulnerable population in Michiana.

As the coronavirus continues to impact the way businesses function, many will find themselves experiencing a temporary loss of income. Because of this, and because the USDA considers our Food Pantry to be a "vital" food source for the community, our Food Pantry will remain open on Mondays from 12:00-3:00 and Thursdays from 9:00-12:00.

This is a tremendous way to get involved to make an impact during difficult times. If you are able to volunteer to help us continue to feed the community through our Clay Church Food Pantry, please email right away.

Do not be afraid. The promise of God remains. The call of the Church remains unchanged.

We pause to remember during difficult and uncertain moments that God is with us; in fact, that God goes before us. There is no trouble or crisis or pandemic that God has not conceived or stands unprepared for. We stand with God, as the Church, ready to serve wherever we are called or wherever we are needed. The way that we do things will change, but then the way that we do things has always changed.

But the most important things? Those are never going to go away.

We will continue to worship our Risen Savior.

We will continue to be the salt and light of the earth.

The work of the Church will continue.

Our prayer is that you may know God's peace and comfort during this difficult time and that you would be equipped to share that peace and comfort in new and exciting ways.
