FaithWorks! Mission Statement

We are dedicated to helping children develop a faith that works.

We want the children who enter Clay Church to feel safe, loved, and valued. We will provide an experience where children have the opportunity to know Jesus as a friend, where they understand what it means to worship Him, and where they accept the fact that faith works.

We are committed to walking with parents and guardians as they nurturetheir child to know Jesus Christ as God’s Son, and their own Savior and Lord.

At FaithWorks! we believe:

  • that this faith life is the foundation for all aspects of life
  • that all should know without a doubt that they have
infinite worth and value because we are created and
    loved deeply by God
  • that each of us is uniquely gifted by God
  • in partnering with parents and guardians in raising
children to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Our priorities at FaithWorks! are:

    feels special and valued

Sunday Morning Opportunities Include:

Elementary

10:45 a.m.

FaithWorks! elementary aged children, grades 1-5, have a large group/small group experience.  No matter which hour you choose, elementary children worship through prayer, singing and music during our large group learning time.  Bible lessons are taught using drama, music, video - relevant to today's kids!  Within this hour, the children also have small group time, by grade, in which they dig into the Bible, discuss the day's lesson, and are given ways to live it out during the week, helping them develop a faith that works.

(L.I.F.E. = living in faith everyday)

Meet Ed Friend!

Ed Friend is the newest kid on the block in the small town of FaithWorks!  Ed is nine and a half years old, but he'd probably tell you he's almost 10!  Ed moved to town recently and is very much like you and me.

Ed's "adventures", parables really, help tell the Biblical story on Sunday mornings in the FaithWorks! Center.  He is someone the elementary aged children really can relate to!  He's not there every week, but shows up at least once a month.

In Ed's short time in the town of FaithWorks!, he has "gotten turned around" many times!  He has met Officer Bob - the traffic cop who helped Ed find his way home; Farmer Bill - a modern-day sheep farmer who protected Ed from a stray dog; Construction Worker Carl - who helped Ed stay on the right path; and the ever-present Mr. Joshua.  Mr. Joshua founded FaithWorks! and everybody in town knows him.  He's the "go-to guy".  He's the kind, gentle, caring gardener who people turn to.  And he's always there, ready to answer their call.
