Personal statement:

It is a profound joy to follow Jesus Christ and live life in the community of the family of God.  I have learned through the years that each day can be a new adventure in spiritual transformation as we discover new ways to serve God and the people around us. Here at Clay our mission is to "walk with more people toward a transforming relationship with Jesus Christ." We invite you to this community, and this adventure of "walking together."

Primary roles at Clay: 

Preaching and Worship - bringing the good news to the congregation in ways that will assist those heartfelt connections to God and neighbor.

Vision: Discovering and embracing God's preferable future for our lives and our church community.

Spiritual Leadership: leading and encouraging our congregation to strive for faithful ministries that encourage and support others in the "God-in-Charge-Kind-of-Life"

Herb and his wife, LeeAnne, have been married 36 years and are the parents of two daughters (Gina Johnson and Kelly Buwalda), a son-in-law (Jason Johnson), and granddaughter (Tildie Johnson).
